In short, you guys may have to eat a rotten meal, but we have to eat rotten meal with a mixture of pig shit and dog shit in it. You know what is the worst thing? Even if this game woukd rather reach the averge level, we, players in China have to face a "localized version" which shall include much more pay points: Get a legendary weapon onece you spend $100, pay $10 to get the allowance to some stupid dungeon, pay $10 to get 50,000 gold, pay $2 to resurrect. We want war3, wow, ow, diablo2, witcher3, red dead: redemption and so many high quality games. In China, we'd call Diablo immortal as the “Changing skin game”. And the worset thing is that Netease had a clone version of Diablo years ago called “Endless domain”. It is a wholly new game that we've built.As a Chinese, I'm prety sure that Diablo immortal was developed by Netease with resourses of Diablo3. It is a new game going into new zones we've never seen before, fighting new bosses we haven't seen in this form before. They have new legendary items, new legendary gems. The character classes, while they may be six of the same character classes, they have new abilities they did not have before, they have variations on abilities they did not have before. ![]() It's being built from scratch on a new engine, and it's not a re-skin of Diablo III. ![]() It wasn't using to any of those previous games people are comparing it to. "This is an engine that NetEase is using for the first time. Pretty much everything else about the free-to-play adventure has a freshness attached, since Diablo Immortal's abilities, legendary items, and zones are all being built from the ground up. According to Technical Game Designer Kris Zierhut, the quality graphics are thanks to the new engine NetEase is using - an engine its other games weren't built on. What's been shown of Diablo Immortal, so far, looks impressive.
